2014 Billboard Music Awards Red Carpet!

With lackluster performances and awards that could be questioned, the 2014 Billboard Music Awards still managed to keep America glued to the TV.  Fans on social media were very expressive during last nights show and while not fully satisfied by the show itself, it was clear to see that everyone was happy about the stars and their red carpet fashions.

The red carpet seemed to have been a little vacant last night.  A lot of the industries biggest stars were absent at last nights show.  We saw that some of the big names like Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and Justin Timberlake were on tour in other countries.  Although their presences weren't physical, they were able to receive awards and even perform via satellite.  It was like they were right in the theater live!

Getting back to the fashion of the red carpet...

Everyone did not show up dressed to impress.  The celebs who did, however, did not disappoint!  Here are a few of my favs and not so favs of the evening.

Estelle

This pretty blue and orange number worn by British Singer, Estelle, was one of my favorites of the night.  Estelle showed up for the show as a spectator.  She was not up for any awards, but still showed up to show her support as any classy woman would.  We love you Estelle.  You are a true beauty!

Iggy Azalea

Iggy walked the red carpet in a beautiful burgundy gown.  The 23 year old rap star may have looked a little beyond her years in this number, but she looks very classy and I think that is a good way to go to show your versatility as a rapper in this industry.  It's not always about being half naked in costumes. (No SHADE)

Ricky Martin

Ricky looked AMAZING on the red carpet in this black tux, tailored to his body.  The Livin La Vida Loca super star got the crowd pumped with his performance his latest single "Vida" at the show last night.  Ricky Martin doesn't fall short in the sexy department, and he still looks as good as he did 15 years ago!  

Carrie Underwood & Miranda Lambert

Carrie and Miranda showed up on the carpet side by side looking stunning in yellow and pink.  These two country divas reminded us that it was SPRING!!! They both looked beautiful in their dresses and they didn't disappoint in the fashion department on stage during their performance together either!   Kudos to you ladies.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall is my FAVORITE look of the evening.  This black and white number raised the bar for all of the young girls in pop culture!!! Kendall strutted down the red carpet like the high fashion model she is and made the girls bow down.  At only 18 years old I must say this young woman is a force to be reckoned with.  Watch out Hollywood!! Your girl Kendall is on the up!!!

Kylie Jenner

Now of course we can't talk about Kendall without mentioning her beautiful younger sister Kylie.  Kylie was just as stylish and even sexy last night in this fitted white cocktail dress and turquoise hair!  Kylie has really come into her own in the fashion department and I am glad to say I am a fan.  Her style is a little punk with high fashion to go along with.  The Jenner kids are fashionistas in their own right!  We love it!!!

Kelly Rowland

Marriage has been good to Mrs. Kelly!!! Kelly showed up and showed out last night!!!! Black seemed to be popular among the ladies but no one did it better than your girl.  Her short hair was gorgeous and this two piece ensemble couldn't accentuate her body in a better way.  Also a FAVORITE of mine last night.  Kelly you deserve an award for this look girl.  Bravo Bravo and BRAVO!!!!!!!

Nicki Minaj

I am happy to show Nicki Minaj love in the fashion department.  I will be honest that Nicki had lost me over the last couple of years and I was becoming less fond of her.  I can honestly say that these last few months have brought me back to the Nicki front.  She looks amazing in this black cutout gown.  Even more amazing is her hair and make up!  Beauty and class is indeed shining through in this photo.  Keep it up Nicki!!!

Ke$ha

Kesha surprised all in this stunning gown.  I think that Kesha was flawless in this gown, hair and makeup.  She looks like a Hollywood starlet and that says a lot about the pop star who is well known for her raunchy and often times sloppy persona.  Kudos to you Kesha!

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer is always a red carpet stunner and last night was no exception!!!  This burgundy number flowed as she walked the carpet and she was a photographers dream!  Not much needs to be said about the lady of fashion.  She is a diva and will always be a fashion icon!

Wiz Khalifa & Amber Rose

Wiz and Amber walked the carpet together.  While they kept it simple, Amber rocked one accessory that was far from simple.  Her shades were the ultimate hater blockers.  If anyone had anything negative to say about this couple.  Amber was able to protect her and her man from the shade!!! We love these two stars!!

AND NOW A FEW LOOKS I DID'T CARE FOR SO MUCH....

Sarah Hyland

I am not a fan of this number for this event.  Although I love Sarah, I feel like she is dressed for a corporate meeting or a day at the office.  This is not an awards show look.

Chrissy Teigen

Some may disagree, but I think this dress was AWFUL.  Sorry Chrissy but you didn't sell it with this one.  I don't understand the design and it doesn't flatter your beautiful body.  It's blocking all that is good about you on the outside!!! Better luck next time...

2 Chainz

I couldn't tell if he was wearing a thermal top or not, but this look flopped!  The rap star has never been my favorite on the red carpet.  What are those shoes??? Everything isn't hot because of its label.  Somebody fire the stylist!  

Lance Bass

Lance didn't do it for me in this suit and sneakers.  This look is very boring.  Lance it would be nice to see you in a nice tailored suit.   Maybe you could show up in something tailored and a little more high fashion.  Hope you can come correct at the next event!

TV One NEW SHOW ALERT!!! *Hollywood Divas*

If you are not familiar with TV One then let me get you familiar.  TV One is a African American television network that is a part of cable television. It showcases the true essence of African American culture by giving us a lot of history with an equal amount of modern flare.  It began it's run in 2004 and services millions of households.  TV One has a number of original series including reality shows, sitcoms, and most commonly known biographical series such as Life After, and the very popular, Unsung.

More recently you may have become become engaged in two of TV One's hit reality shows that include R&B Divas Atlanta, and its successor R&B Divas LA!

R&B Divas Atlanta Stars 5 talented women who have been in the music industry for decades between them! These women include; Angie Stone, Monifah, Ke Ke Wyatt, Syleena Johnson, Meela Williams (formerly of 702), and LaTavia Roberson. (formerly of Destiny's Child.)  This show follows the women as they try to reclaim their place in an industry that grows and changes vastly.  Although they are very talented they are often not as recieved by newer generations and have trouble finding the spotlight.  Watch R&B Divas Atlanta Wednesday nights at 10:00 pm on TV One of course! 

R&B Divas LA returns this summer! The cast will include season one veterans Lil Mo, Claudette Ortiz, Miche'le, Chante Moore and two new Divas Chrisette Michelle and Leela James.

HAVE U HAD ENOUGH OF REALITY TELEVISION IN YOUR LIFE?????? WELL NEITHER HAVE I!!!!!!

This year Tv One will be bringing us an all new show added to the Diva series called Hollywood Divas.  The show has the same premise as the other diva shows.  It stars a group of women who are trying to maintain longevity with careers in the entertainment industry.  The only difference with this new show is it will follow Hollywood actresses!  We will be invited into the lives of some familiar faces who we have come to love in television and film over the years.  The cast of Hollywood Divas will include:

Paula Jai Parker (Friday, Sprung, Proud Family)

Golden Brooks (Girlfriends, Something New)

Elise Neal (The Hugleys, All of Us, Belles)

Countess Vaughn (227, Moesha, The Parker's)

Lisa Wu (Real housewives of Atlanta fame)

There is no set air date as of today, but be looking forward to Hollywood Divas on your tv screens in 2014!!

#FullCourtLife (Vh1)

On last nights episode La La Anthony's ability to run her clothing line, 5th and Mercer, on her own was put to the test.  She showed up late for a meeting and didn't seem to be well prepared.  On the upside La La is working to make her clothing line affordable to her fans based on the feedback she has received from them.  We all know that La La is very talented and very busy.  Do you think that she can pull off running 5th and Mercer without a partner?  The woman seems to have more than enough drive.  She is always an inspiring fashionista and I'm sure the fashion world could use her skills and designs for the youthful generation!

If you have been following Full Court Life throughout its seasons, then you know it is no secret that La La and her friends/cousins are always in each others mix.  Last night La and Po met up with La's cousin dice for dinner.  Dice brought her new girlfriend, GoShay, (spell check) to meet the crew and well the meeting was just a little on the awkward side.

La La was drilling Dice's girlfriend Goshay with interrogative questions about the two.  This CLEARLY made Dice uncomfortable and drove her to drink! Lol But GoShay on the other hand, stood her ground.  She let it be known subtly that she didn't appreciate the line of questioning so soon.  She understood that Dice and La may interact a certain way with one another, but she wasn't going to be treated in that manner by either of them.  With that said Dice announced her and her girlfriend would be moving in together.  This seemed to have surprised both La and Po.  They were very judge mental although the may call it protective...I CALL IT A LITTLE OF BOTH!

#JareBearSays that La and Po are probably just looking out for their cousin.  They are all very close and that is to be expected.  They should accept the fact that Dice is old enough and mature enough to make her own decisions and support her in that way.  No one can choose who you love but your loved ones should always be supportive.  If it doesn't work out for Dice at least she'll still have La and Po right??

Battle of the fur! (Vh1's Hollywood Exes go at it!)

On episode 1 & 2 of the third season of Hollywood Exes we find ourselves still listening to Mayte and Nicole go at it in what I'd like to call "The Battle of The fur!" 

         Nicole Murphy                              VS                           Mayte Garcia

We all found out in season 2 that Mayte was anti fur and team vegan.  So it wasn't surprising to see her so upset when Nicole's friend and her daughter showed up to a gathering wearing their fur hand bags and vest.  Mayte feels that she was ambushed and that the women showed up that way to provoke her. That caused Mayte to pick a fight with Nicole and storm out of her house allegedly breaking a large sugar dish before she exited.  Mayte denies that she purposely broke the dish, but as a viewer imma just say that I don't believe her! She claims to have knocked the dish over accidentally when she grabbed her purse off of the counter.  Anyone with two eyes can see that she already had her purse in her posession before she went into the house.

The other ladies are having trouble trying to bring the drama to an end because both Nicole and Mayte are two strong headed indviduals who refuse to apologize and accept their fault in the situation. Drea invites the girls to dinner in hopes to mediate them but it doesn't seem to work out so favorably. Tempers flare and emotions run high.  Sheree and Mayte end up in a screaming match over an event where Mayte didn't show up for Sheree.  Mayte defends herself by saying she is working on building a family and throws a lil shade at Sheree saying "everyone doesn't have Will Smith money" because she is a single mother who has to work hard.  This sparks a higher level of intensity and pisses Drea off!!! She exits the table followed by Mayte, who seems to make a pattern of running away.  When Drea returns the ladies continue their talk in a respectable manner while Jessica and Shanna console Mayte outside.

All of this drama began about fur and ended on a whole other topic!!! These ladies definitely know how to make something out of another thing because I didn't know if PETA or the Pinkett-Smiths were going to show up! I'm just saying

Justin Bieber Robbery Accusation

According to USA Today, 20 yr old pop star Justin Bieber is being accused of robbery by the LAPD. Apparently there was an incident last night in L.A. where Justin got into a confrontation with a woman in regards to photos he thought were being taken of he and his crew.  When Justin approached the woman, who was with her teenage daughter at the time, she denied the accusation.  Justin, allegedly,  went on to dig in the woman's bag for her camera so that he could look for himself to see if there were any pictures.  That is when the woman decided to call the police on the singer.

I don't know what Justin is going through, but I think it is safe to say he needs to walk away from fans and paparazzi when he doesn't want to be bothered.  All of this negative press is making this young man look more and more like a jerk.  Justin may be a young heartthrob but this bad boy image he is toting along is beginning to be beyond ridiculous.  I am a fan of his talent, but I just want to see him being more respectful to fans.  I'm sure most people would agree.  That old saying "to get respect you have to give it" wasn't said for no reason.  No one is perfect! Everyone should keep Justin in their prayers.
